Wenn man den Schwung raushat, macht dies auch richtig Spass. | The finest machete is no good if it´s blunt and you have to learn how to sharpen it, which is good fun once you get the hang of it. | ||||||

| Keine Frage: mit der Bestimmung der über 200 Baumarten, die gepflanzt werden, sind Europäer hoffnungslos überfordert. Aber im Lauf der Zeit lernt man mehr Baumarten unterscheiden, als man in der Heimat kennt. | No doubt about it: europeans are at a loss classifying the 200 species of trees being planted. But gradually they learn to identify a greater tree diversity than the one existing in their home country. | ||||||

| Einfacher ist die Erkennung, wenn man den Baum im erwachseneren Stadium auch mal sehen oder umarmen kann. Dazu geht man am besten in den benachbarten Nationalpark und lässt sich die wesentlichsten Arten vorführen. | The identification is easier if you have seen or put your arms around a grown-up specimen of the species before. For this you can go to the neighbouring national park and let them show you the most significant species. | ||||||

| Ein Wald ist natürlich auch Lebensraum für Vögel, Spinnen, Insekten, Amphibien und vieles mehr. Je nachdem, wieviel Zeit man aufwenden will, kann man über diese Zusammenhänge viel erfahren und erforschen. Wer Glück und viel Geduld hat, sieht auch einiges. Hobbyfotografen sollten nicht nur eine Kamera, sondern auch ein Stativ mitbringen. | Of course a forest is also habitat for birds, spiders, insects, amphibia and many more. Depending on how much time you can spare, you can learn and explore a lot about the coherences of this ecosystem. Fotografers should not only bring a camera, but also a tripot. | ||||||

| Was man auf alle Fälle erfährt: Ein Wald ist mehr als nur eine Ansammlung von Bäumen. Für manche kann es auch ein Spielplatz sein. | One thing that everyone learns here on all accounts is that a forest is a lot more than just a collection of trees. For some it can be a playground for example. | ||||||
